Building community in Christ.
Connecting people to the Word.
Serving Christ together.
Connecting people to the Word.
Serving Christ together.
The focus of our servant event is growth in Christ. Bet you thought it would be service?? We believe that while service is important, that growth in faith and in Christ is even more important. We hope to accomplish that growth through serving Christ together. The service projects that we will be doing are very important to the people we will be serving, but the lasting impact will be the faith and love that we share with each other and home owners that we serve.
Another purpose of this event is to gather Christians together to form a Christian Community. We come from different places, and have different backgrounds, but we all have the same Savior and rejoice in the salvation that God has given us. God has called us to be His own and He has called us together for service in his name. It is our hope that you will make new Christian friends and recognize that you are part of a large and living church.
Throughout our servant event we will be studying God’s Word, having daily devotions and will spend time in prayer. These times of devotion and study are provided to give understanding and depth of purpose for what we are doing here. We are not just “working,” but are responding to the love of God that we ourselves have experienced.

What We Believe
With the universal Christian Church, Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, creator of all that exists, Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and rose to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan, and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and co-eternal, one God.
Being "Lutheran Missouri Synod," our congregation accepts and teaches the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. These teachings can be summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Scripture alone, Faith alone.
Grace Alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
Scripture Alone: The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
We Confess: That the Bible is infallible, authoritative, and the inspired Word of God. That God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That there is one God in trinity and unity. That we, as humans, are born sinful and are in need of God's forgiveness and grace. That our sins are forgiven through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That the Word of God, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper are the means by which God has promised to work forgiveness and grace in our lives. That eternal life is a free gift of God, through faith in Jesus Christ. That Jesus will one day return as Victorious Lord of all, to judge the world.
